Writing *Tales from Jamaica* has been a journey of rediscovery, resilience, and passion. As a retired civil servant, I had always dreamed of writing but never made the time. Life’s distractions and self-doubt kept me from putting pen to paper. It wasn’t until my sister—my biggest supporter—constantly reminded me of my talent that I finally took the leap. My first attempt at publishing was rushed, and the results were disappointing. I almost gave up. But with encouragement from my family, I decided to try again, this time with patience and purpose. *Tales from Jamaica* is more than just a book; it is a reflection of the stories I grew up with—the folklore, mystery, and deep cultural roots of my homeland. Now, I embrace writing as a passion rather than a challenge. This book is a tribute to the stories of Jamaica, the whispers of the past, and the voices that have shaped our culture. I hope it captivates readers as much as it has enriched my own journey time; I’m doing it right. And I can’t wait to share it with the world.
